Managing Faculty Grants

We pay faculty grants by transferring awarded funds directly to recipients near the beginning of the grant term. After awards are transferred, we follow up with the journal entry (JE#) of the transfer. Faculty are expected to spend UROP funding according to the budgets outlined in awarded proposals and to track their expenses for potential audits.

Student Employment helps colleges and departments hire É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ students, administersÌýwork-study funds—and provides resources for students and employers.

Undocumented/DACA

The university offers support for studentsÌýwho are undocumented and/or DACAÌýbeneficiaries, and weÌýencourage faculty to take full advantage of them.

International Students

ISSS provides immigration advising for students and assists with cultural adjustment—coordinating events and supporting a smooth transition into American university life.

If a student is injured in the performance of activities related to their project during the term of their award, they might be eligible to receive Workers’ Compensation.
