- The College of Music is thrilled to celebrate its centennial with a beautifully planned series of concerts, presentations and more. The yearlong celebration will kick off with a special concert, The Future of Music, a Century in the Making, on Jan. 21.
- Russell Moore and Michele Moses will host 鈥淔aculty and Academic Freedom: Exploring meaning and application鈥 and follow-up events as part of a new campus dialogue on academic freedom.
- Program Council鈥檚 film series brings to campus Quentin Tarantino鈥檚聽鈥淥nce Upon a Time in Hollywood鈥澛爋n Jan. 17, followed by a modern black-and-white horror movie, 鈥淭he Lighthouse,鈥 on Jan. 21.
- Did you know that there is a supercomputer that members of CU have free access to? Do you know about our large- and small-scale data storage options, trainings and more? Join this gathering to learn about CU's research computing offerings.
- Items will include computers, furniture, lab equipment, athletics equipment and more, with preview opportunities available for departments on Jan. 23 and for the public on Jan. 24.
- Light refreshments will be served and people will be on hand to discuss campus resources such as large-scale computing, data storage options, technical training offerings, consultation expertise and a new digital humanities certificate opportunity.
- All are welcome to attend the聽Martin Luther King Jr. Day event from 3 to 5 p.m. on Jan. 20, 鈥淩emembering His Life, Renewing His Legacy." Featured will be a reception and conversations about King, followed by a community celebration.
- The CU Wizards program presents free monthly shows that entertain and inform children about the wonders of science.
- The University of Colorado Law School will host a field hearing of the聽House Judiciary Subcommittee on Antitrust, Commercial and Administrative Law聽on Friday, Jan. 17. The hearing will address online platforms and market power.
