- Patrick O’Rourke, who has served the University of Colorado system for more than 15 years as an attorney, administrator and adjunct faculty member, will remain in his role as É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥â€™s chief operating officer.
- The CU Board of Regents held its annual retreat Jan. 7, hearing updates on COVID-19 impacts, diversifying tuition revenue, the strategic plan and more. Also, three new board members were sworn in.
- É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ will continue to move major initiatives forward during the current academic year and beyond—including the pivotal work of the IDEA Council to prioritize and implement recommendations included in the Inclusion, Diversity and Excellence in Academics Plan.

- Nearly 20 years from the day she accepted her first job at É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ as an IT initiatives coordinator, Marin Stanek will make history when she becomes the university’s first female chief information officer on Jan. 1.
- Schools, colleges, and academic and administrative support units across É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ continue to explore ways of reducing costs in response to the financial impacts brought on by the emergence of COVID-19 earlier this year.
- At a Nov. 12 meeting, the CU regents heard a number of updates on topics including student debt and efforts to improve the student experience. They also received a report on systemwide diversity and inclusion work.
- Members of the É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ Faculty Assembly received an update on Thursday from Provost Russell Moore, who explained in further detail why the campus is shifting to a remote instructional mode for the rest of the fall semester, a week sooner than originally planned.
- É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ remains committed to being a collaborative and effective partner as the community works to manage the impacts of COVID-19, Patrick O’Rourke told city council members at their Oct. 6 meeting.
- In support of international students, É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ strongly opposes proposed changes to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s longstanding duration of status policy.
