Photos: CU Night in Downtown É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ celebrates ‘town and gown’
Around 300 community members gathered for CU Night in Downtown É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ on Aug. 2 at the É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ Theater, an event celebrating the connections between town and gown and the value of community care and compassion.
The second annual event is intended to strengthen É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥â€™s engagement with the broader É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ community and included a number of elected officials and community leaders.
The night featured remarks from Chancellor Phil DiStefano, Dean Robert McDonald, CAAAS Director Reiland Rabaka, É«½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ Mayor Aaron Brockett and Board of County Commissioners Chair Claire Levy,Ìýalong with food, drinks, giveawaysÌýand exhibits from 17 campus and community groups.
The event concluded with a CU-sponsored Bands on the Bricks on Pearl Street featuring the music of Mighty Mystic.Ìý
