The Center for Neuroscience serves as a nodal administrative structure the purposes of which are to organize and foster the development of neuroscience research and teaching at CU ɫ½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥. The center faculty members are affiliated with 13 different departments and institutes at CU ɫ½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥. The Center for Neuroscience:Â
- Administers the CU ɫ½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥ Neuroscience PhD program
- Fosters interdisciplinary interdepartmental research and interaction
- Obtains both federal and corporate funds to support the development of neuroscience at CU ɫ½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥
- Acts as a focal point for interaction with the neuroscience community at large such as national organizations and programs at other universities
- Fosters interest in neuroscience among undergraduates at CU ɫ½ä³ÉÈËÖ±²¥
