Maya is currently working for , an organization based in Moab, Utah that builds affordable strawbale houses. In addition to natural building, Maya is interested in biomimicry-inspired infrastructure and chaos theory. Maya's research investigated humanitarian coordination of organizations following Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines with Aaron Opdyke.
