Due to licensing regulations, students who are out of state cannot be seen for therapy. However, there are a number of pre-clinical services at CAPS that students who are out of state can still utilize and access.</p><h3><strong>Let's Talk</strong></h3><p>Monday through Friday: 10 to 11 a.m. and 3 to 4 p.m.<br> E-Let鈥檚 Talk is a free service where 色戒成人直播 students can check in via telehealth for an informal and confidential consultation with a counselor. No insight appointment is necessary. Students are seen on a first-come, first-served basis at various times throughout the week. Let鈥檚 Talk counselors can help provide, solutions and information about additional resources. Schedule a mental health management appointment by calling 303-492-2277 or explore counseling options online through <a href="https://colorado.thrivingcampus.com/" rel="nofollow">Thriving Campus</a>.</p><h3><strong>Workshops</strong></h3><p>CAPS is offering telehealth&nbsp;workshops to support students in coping with stress, anxiety&nbsp;and uncertainty related to COVID-19. Live telehealth workshops afford you the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the presenter.</p><ul><li><em>Anxiety Toolbox</em><br> This seminar provides life-long tools you can use when facing anxiety-triggering situations. This intervention is not intended to "get rid of" your anxiety, but to provide a starting point to integrate skills into your daily life that can help reduce your anxiety.<br> &nbsp;</li><li><em>Feel Better Fast</em><br> This workshop is a three-part series designed to help you make positive change in your life by learning mindfulness techniques and ways to cope with distressing emotions and thoughts. You will learn how to make balanced decisions, self-soothe, take a step back from your thoughts and live by your values. With guidance and support, this workshop might be all you need to get back on track and feel better in no time.<br> &nbsp;</li><li><em>Healthy Living: Sleep, Nutrition, Body Image, and Stress Management</em><br> This weekly workshop is offered in partnership with Medical Services at Wardenburg. Topics will vary on a weekly basis to include body image, nutrition and eating, physical activity, sleep, stress management and self-care. Jane Reagan, a registered dietitian at Wardenburg, will join our CAPS provider every other week to cover eating and topics related to body image.<br> &nbsp;</li><li><em>Navigating Difficult Conversations</em><br> This workshop is a two-part series that provides tips and tools to help you navigate discussions of difficult or controversial topics with people you care about. The workshop will teach you how to build better and stronger relationships even when you don't agree! Sessions are designed to assist with a variety of relationships, including but not limited to: family, friends, romantic, professional, and academic relationships.<br> &nbsp;</li><li><em>Identity and Sexuality Exploration Workshop</em><br> Questions about sexuality, gender, or relationships? Did your previous sex-ed experiences have some gaps in content? Not sure if you'd like to begin gender-affirming healthcare, or where to begin? Join us at our Identity and Sexuality Exploration Workshop, a virtual, inclusive, and affirming space to develop general knowledge and skills for your personal journey on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.&nbsp;hosted by Medical Services and CAPS. This informal consultation with a queer-friendly Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Psychologist can provide insight into areas such as sex and sexuality questions, initiating sexual health exams and testing, gender-affirming treatment options, and relational health. All identities and questions welcome! Attendees can maintain anonymity in the workshop by keeping their videos off. Please note this is not a substitute for formal counseling and does not constitute as mental health treatment.<br> &nbsp;</li><li><em>COVID Series</em><br> The COVID workshop series is composed of 4 independent workshops designed to help you cope COVID-19 related changes in your life. This is a great option if you鈥檙e short on time, want quick coping skills or are feeling distressed. The COVID series includes the following workshops: <ul><li><em>Mindfully Thriving</em>: Learn how to stay present during times of unease. Learn mindfulness skills to stay grounded and present during the pandemic. This workshop will guide you through 3 different mindfulness exercises that you can easily practice at home.</li><li><em>Anxiety Toolbox for COVID:</em> Learn skills and tools to help you manage challenging or triggering thoughts, feelings and behaviors through real life examples from the current pandemic.</li><li><em>Coping with COVID</em>: Learn skills for managing overwhelming emotions and reducing emotional vulnerability during this stressful time. This workshop will help to normalize the different responses people have been experiencing in relation to COVID-19.</li><li><em>How to Survive Quarantine with Other People</em>: Many of us are spending more time than usual at home with family members, partners or roommates. Learn how to address conflict, develop listening skills and develop healthy boundaries to manage tension and conflict that may arise due to the challenges of increased time together.</li></ul></li></ul><p><a class="ucb-link-button ucb-link-button-gold ucb-link-button-default ucb-link-button-regular" href="/counseling/services/virtual-workshops-and-resources" rel="nofollow"> <span class="ucb-link-button-contents"> Learn More About Virtual Workshops </span> </a> </p><h3><strong>Feel Good Fridays</strong></h3><p>You are invited to this weekly mindfulness practice to learn about a work of art and then participate in a guided meditation. The powerful, guided meditation can undo stress, soothe the nervous system, and help you feel relaxed and revitalized. If practiced regularly, the meditation teaches a method for feeling calm, easeful, and resilient, even when facing life鈥檚 challenges. Meditations are open to students, faculty, staff, and the public. All are welcome and there is no need for past experience with meditation.
